Slanting the news: Huge national LGBT journalist conference in Boston this week

POSTED: August 23, 2013

Just how entrenched is the national homosexual movement in the newsrooms and production desks of the nation's major news media outlets -- including Fox News?

The answers to that are shocking even to us. For example, a stunning 92-page investigative report by Americans for Truth president Peter LaBarbera, commissioned by longtime media watcher Cliff Kincaid, reveals the disturbing trend in Fox News of support and blatant advocacy for the LGBT agenda -- and hostility toward those who oppose it in any way.

Read the 92-page report:
"Unfair, Unbalanced and Afraid: Fox News' Growing Pro-Homosexual Bias and the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association"

As the title reveals, the report also documents Fox's deepening connections to the radical National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA).

Although most people have probably never heard of the NLGJA, it is a big force in the national (and even some local) media. Founded in 1990, the NLGJA receives funds from major TV networks and newspapers (including Fox), as well as other corporations, and has become extremely influential in newsrooms across the country. Their goal is to push and enforce positive reporting of LGBT issues in the nation's news media.

Not surprisingly, one of NLGJA's major efforts is their "Rapid Response Task Force" which converges on any news organization that doesn't report on LGBT issues positively, or even uses terminology that homosexual and transgender activists don't like. This strategy appears to be incredibly effective and unquestionably has had a chilling effect on how homosexual and transgender issues are reported to the public. (Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any pro-family version of this.)

This year's NLGJA annual convention is taking place right now -- Aug. 21-25 -- in downtown Boston. Their influence appears to be growing each year. We'll have more on this year's convention in an upcoming email.

But make no mistake: The massively pro-homosexual bias in news coverage in the media is no accident. It's the result of years of work, funding, and propaganda.

Joining the crowd. Megyn Kelly of Fox News poses in front of NLGJA banner at a past NLGJA event.

Twelve years ago -- Camenker of MassResistance was an invited guest!
Interestingly, at the 2001 NLGJA national convention in Dallas, Brian Camenker of MassResistance, then known as Parents' Rights Coalition, and Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth were invited speakers on a panel on "gay bias" in reporting. We didn't pull any punches, and needless to say, they've never invited us back! But even then, we were amazed at how many influential national news outlets were there. At some point we'll dig up the photos we took and re-publish them. NOTE: We did NOT pose in front of any NLGJA banners! But Kelly is clearly now on the LGBT bandwagon.
