Child psychiatrist and former "transgender" give bold testimony against radical California bill SB48

POSTED: April 5, 2011

A world-renowned child psychiatrist and a former (recovered) "transgender) led the hard-hitting pro-family testimony against California bill SB48, now in the Legislature, during theMarch 23 hearing before the California Senate's Education Committee.

Bill SB48 would require all public schools - and all textbooks -- to actively portray homosexuality and transgenderism / cross-dressing in a positive light.

As predicted, it was an uphill battle that day. The Committee was openly biased, rude, purposefully intimidating to the pro-family side. The pro-family people were held to a strict 5-minute time limit, but not the pro-homosexual people. (Does this all sound familiar?)

The Committee's rules that day allowed a limited number of testifiers from each side. Others could only come up and state their name and whether they were for or against the bill.

One of the powerful testifiers who really stood out:

Child psychiatrist: Dr. Miriam Grossman

Dr. Grossman told the sad TRUTH about how this bill will affect the psychology of vulnerable children.

Dr. Miriam Grossman is a is a board certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. She lectures internationally and has first-hand experience working with children with homosexual and transgender feelings.

She is the author of two books everyone should read: "You're Teaching My Child What?: A Physician Exposes the Lies of Sex Education and How They Harm Your Child" and "Unprotected: A Campus Psychiatrist Reveals How Political Correctness in Her Profession Endangers Every Student."

As Dr. Grossman testified, the chairman attempted to badger her about her "time limit." But she continued.

At hearing pro-family opponents outnumbered bill's supporters

Prior to the hearing (and also afterwards) in a series of phone calls MassResistance strategized with one of the key pro-family activists who was coordinating testimony. We also provided them with materials given out by homosexual activists in the public schools in Massachusetts.

At the hearing that day, supporters of SB48 were greatly outnumbered by those who came to voice their opposition. Not surprisingly, the California Teachers' Association (CTA) and also various school administrators from across the state were among the most vocal in support of the bill. (The president of the CTA is a homosexual man who teaches Kindergarten.)

Arrogance by Commitee toward pro-family side

There was a certain unpleasant arrogance by the Committee toward the pro-family side.  They told the people to be respectful of the Committee's time, and not waste it by repeating what somebody else had already said. The Chairman also made it clear that being "respectful" meant not attacking homosexual or transgender behavior.

You can watch the entire March 23 hearing HERE.

Unfortunately, the committee was too far in the tank, and virtually ignored the pro-family testimony. They voted to pass the bill. But the stage is set for an even stronger pro-family presence coming up to continue fighting this horrible bill.
